Powdered milk, like breast milk, promotes healthy growth in children. Meiji cares for future generations by conducting long-term research on breast milk science to make each ingredient in powdered milk closer to breast milk. For more than 40 years, Meiji has been conducting breast milk surveys which analyze the breast milk composition of more than 6,000 mothers and growth surveys of babies who have grown up drinking only Meiji Hohoemi.
Meiji Hohoemi and Meiji Step are two of Meiji's powdered infant formulas that support healthy development for different stages of life during the early years. Our powdered infant formula has the number one share of the market at 38.1% and provides strong support for mothers and families by nurturing their children.* Families receive additional support from our ready-to-drink liquid milk formula, Meiji Hohoemi Raku Raku Milk, which removes the need to prepare the formula before drinking and is well-suited for stockpiling during emergencies.
We also offer the world's first cube-type powdered infant formulas, Meiji Hohoemi Raku Raku Cube and Meiji Step Raku Raku Cube.
In 2020, we established a strategic alliance with Danone to manufacture cube-type powdered milk for the European market and have launched cube-type products under Danone's leading powdered milk brand, Aptamil.
