Chief Sustainability Officer, Executive Officer
Meiji Holdings Co., Ltd.
Date of birth: February 17, 1964
Appointment as an executive officer of Meiji Holdings: April 2026
Shougo Ohishi guides initiatives for sustainably increasing the Meiji Group's corporate value as its chief sustainability officer.
Shougo began his career in 1987 at Meiji Dairies Corporation. After starting out in sales of dairy products to supermarkets, he developed skills in management and international business negotiations in the advertising department, where he was involved in ending the company's partnership with Borden, Inc. Around that time, he also helped develop mainstay products, brands, and communication strategies. He went on to play a central role in driving business growth and shaping brand strategies through his success in developing businesses and marketing nutritional and healthcare products.
Following the reorganization of Meiji Dairies into Meiji Co., Ltd., Shougo was put in charge of marketing nutritional products in 2016, and worked to refine the company's marketing strategies by focusing on the creation of health benefits. He was appointed as head of the marketing division's nutritional products marketing department in 2021, where he spearheaded product development and the promotion of new nutritional brands.
In 2022, Shougo was assigned to lead Meiji's global nutritional products business division, and worked to firmly establish and expand the business in markets around the world. Meiji appointed him as an executive officer in June of the same year, and as a managing executive officer in June 2024. In these roles, he has led efforts to expand the nutritional products business-a key domain for the Meiji Group-by driving business growth both domestically and internationally, facilitating nutritional science-based value creation, and developing and executing business strategies, including global expansion.
In recognition of his achievements and extensive experience, Meiji Holdings appointed Shougo as its chief sustainability officer and as an executive officer in April 2026.
