Where and by whom was the cocoa produced?
Meiji is now working to establish traceability to the farms.
This will lead to an accurate understanding of production areas, as well as to addressing social issues such as child labor and deforestation.
This is what makes sustainable agriculture and cocoa cultivation possible.
From the farmer to the consumer, by ensuring the stable procurement and quality of cocoa,
We will continue to bring peace of mind and smiles to everyone involved with chocolate.

The valued partners in Ghana
who support Meiji's initiatives
at production areas
The establishment of traceability and a wide range of initiatives by Meiji would not be possible without the local partners.
They frequently visit farmers and farms to listen to real voices.
This is why we can take actions that are rooted in the local communities.

Development
officerHand in hand with Meiji, we are promoting projects such as providing cocoa seedlings and shade trees.
These efforts will not only improve cocoa bean yields and reduce the burden on the environment but also support the livelihoods of farmers and their communities.
By providing farmers with a variety of training and resources they need, we value helping them build a brighter future by increasing their incomes and improving their livelihoods. -
Sustainability
directorWe deal in cocoa beans that have been traced from the farm to the Meiji factory while preventing deforestation. Furthermore, we strictly adhere to international standards and various regulations by utilizing the latest technology to maintain the quality of cocoa beans and through strong cooperation with our partners.
Establishing traceability is not just a process. It is about building trust. Together, we and Meiji have created a supply chain that enables sustainable cocoa bean sourcing and long-term market transactions.
We are working with Meiji to procure sustainable cocoa beans and support long-term farmer self-reliance.
GPS mapping of farm registrations in databases is essential to ensure supply chain transparency and traceability.
In addition, to ensure traceability, we maintain digital records, have a regular auditing system, and thoroughly train farmers on sustainable practices.
These controls also help prevent deforestation.
