Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt
Popular in Japan for its exceptional taste and health benefits, Bulgaria Yogurt is Meiji's signature yogurt. We even received official permission from the Bulgarian government to name Bulgaria Yogurt after food research we conducted at the Bulgarian Pavilion of the 1970 World Exposition. The LB81 lactic acid bacteria used in the product later received a certification from the Japanese government as a positive influence on stomach health.

A Bulgarian Tradition, Made for Everyone
Bulgarian yogurt is traditionally made in unglazed jars with a slow, low-temperature fermentation process that produces a smooth, rich flavor. Although manufacturers consider this fermentation method unsuitable for mass production, Meiji recreated it as the Smooth Careful Fermentation process, bringing the distinct flavor profile of traditional Bulgarian yogurt to consumers worldwide.
Our Bulgaria Yogurt is so popular, it even has its own fan club. Visit the Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt Club for more information.
